ZAGREB, Jan 24 (Hina) - Croatian Parliament President Nedjeljko
Mihanovic today received Norwegian Ambassador to Croatia Bjorn
Frode Osterns.
Mihanovic thanked Norway for being one of the first
countries to recognize Croatia.
Osterns said the Norwegian people wished peace would be
restored to Croatia soon.
He relayed his government's concern about Croatia's decision
to end the UNPROFOR mandate.
Stressing his belief in the peaceful resolution of the
crisis, Osterns stressed Norway had sent 900 troops as part of
the UN peacekeeping mission in the region and provided great
humanitarian aid for Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
