ZAGREB, Jan 10 (Hina) - Rebel Croatian Serbs last night cancelled a
meeting scheduled today in Knin with UN commander in Bosnia-
Herzegovina, Lieutenant-General Michael Rose.
"They decided that they would not meet us," UN spokesman in
Zagreb, Paul Risley said today. He added that Rose was to have been
accompanied by UN deputy commander in the former Yugoslavia,
General Ray Crabbe.
UNPROFOR planned another meeting for Wednesday to be attended
by General Crabbe, UN chief of civilian affairs Michel Moussalli
and a UNHCR representative.
Risley said the aim of the meeting was to work out a special
plan for the passage of UNPROFOR and UNHCR convoys bound for the
Bihac area across the area controlled by rebel Croatian Serbs.
The meeting is also expected to look at some form of 'local
cease fire' between rebel Croatian Serbs and the Bosnian Army's 5th
Corps.
