ZAGREB, Jan 3 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Dr. Mate Granic on
Tuesday received Brazilian Senator Irapuan Costa Junior, the
Croatian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The talks between Minister Granic and Senator Costa Junior
concentrated on the bilateral relations between Croatia and Brazil.
Minister Granic announced that Croatia's embassy would be
opened in Brazil this year, and Senator Costa Junior said Brazil's
embassy was to be established in Croatia in 1995 as well.
Senator Costa Junior expressed his country's support to
Croatia in the prompt reintegration of its occupied areas.
Senator Costa Junior, who is a member of the Senate's Foreign
Affairs Committee, contributed to Brazil's recognition of Croatia
while he was cooperating with the Croatian community in that South
American country.
