RIJEKA, SLAVONSKI BROD, Dec 18 (Hina) - Croatian Deputy Premier
Ljerka Mintas-Hodak handed house keys to two 100% war invalids in
Kostrena near rijeka on Wednesday. The houses were given to the
invalids by the government.
"Let these houses mark the start of a new life in freedom for
which you faught," Hodak said.
The houses have 150 metres squared and have been fashioned to
conform to the needs of invalids.
The Primorje County Prefect, Bruno Ottochian, announced that
the construction of a house for another invalid from around Rijeka
was coming to an end.
Two war invalids were also handed the keys to houses in Nova
Gradiska and Slavonski Brod (central Croatia), which have been
adapted to their needs.
The keys were handed to them by president of the Croatian War
Invalids' Association (HVIDRA), Marinko Liovic.
