"ICRC employees have done nothing to find out about the
whereabouts of our loved ones and to take particular steps
regarding the issue. Moreover, they have been concealing Serb
crimes with logistic assistance to the Serb side comprising of tons
of humanitarian help," members of two organizations of families of
missing persons 'Apel' and 'Mothers of Vukovar' told reporters.
They forwarded their complaints about the lack of
effectiveness of the ICTC to all ambassadors in Croatia on Tuesday.
"Unable to keep living without knowing anything about their
loved ones," every family forwarded an individual request to ICRC
in which they asked that the Search Service inform them about all
its results in the search for their missing family members.
However, the families received no answer and ICRC employees
had been angered by the request, representatives of families of
missing persons said.
They added that ICRC activists had shown inefficiency in
Vukovar in 1991.
They had not protected civilians from the Vukovar hospital and
then had not informed the international community about their
inability to perform this basic task, they said.
