In the near future, when ten more open courts, a swimming pool
and bungalows are built, the centre should develop into the
Croatian Tennis Academy.
The selector of the women's national tennis team, Vjeran
Friscic and entrepreneur Alan Metzinger invested 9 million kuna
into the centre.
Tennis players Silvija Talaja and Mirjana Lucic tried out the
courts and described them as excellent.
After the opening, President Tudjman and his permanent
partner, former recognized tennis player Bruno Oresar, played a
match against their usual opponents, Croatia Insurance General
Director Suad Rizvanbegovic and President's long-term friend
Velimir Simunic.
Pair Tudjman-Oresar won the match against pair
Rizvanbegovic/Simunovic with 6:4.
