SARAJEVO, Nov 21 (Hina) - The Croat member of Bosnia-Herzegovina's
three-member presidency, Kresimir Zubak, Thursday received the
Archbishop of Sarajevo, Bosnia's Cardinal Vinko Puljic, and
Assistant Bishop Pero Sudar.
Cardinal Puljic was interested in the establishment of joint
institutions of authority, and in possibilities of organized return
of refugees, said a statement issued after the talks.
Zubak said he was sure that despite difficulty, the political
system and authorities would be set up in line with the Dayton
peace accords as the international community persistently insisted
on this. He added that the recent Paris conference on the peace
accords' implementation proved the international community's
persistence.
Zubak pledged to the Roman Catholic dignitaries that changes
in legislation would create the legal basis for the return or
adequate compensation for property that had been confiscated in the
former political system from the Roman Catholic Church and other
religious communities.
He added that a favourable political and security situation
for the return of refugees would be created by mediation of the
international community.
