PRESIDENT TUDJMAN RECEIVES GET-WELL CARDS

ZAGRBE, Nov 19 (Hina) - The President of the Republic of Croatia, Franjo Tudjman, on Tuesday received numerous messages from Croatian citizens, officials, public figures and politicians with wishes for his speedy recovery and return to Croatia. "I am confident that, with the help of all of us, you will successfully overcome health problems as well, and continue to lead our country as you have done so far," the President of the Croatian Parliament House of Counties, Katica Ivanisevic wrote in a letter. The Croatian Homeland War Veterans' association expressed a wish that President Franjo Tudjman may very long lead Croatians in carrying out policies which helped them to create the independent and sovereign state of Croatia and helped their nine-century-old dreams to come true. "We have learnt of your illness with deep regret. We wish you a speedy recovery and long life," Ivan Supek, the president of Croatian Academy of Arts and Sciences, wrote in e letter. The leaders of the Croatian Party, Hrvoje Sosic, of the Social Democratic Union of Croatia, Vladimir Bebic, and of the scientists' trade union, Vilim Ribic, forwarded messages with wishes for the quick recuperation of the Croatian President. The Mayor of Mostar, Ivan Prskalo, sent a letter to President Tudjman, with his personal and Mostar citizens' wishes for the President's speedy recovery and resumption of his regular presidential duties as soon as possible.
