SARAJEVO, Oct 30 (Hina) - Bosnian Serb, Croat and Moslem
representatives on Wednesday reached an agreement about basic
principles of releasing all of the remaining detained persons.
The meeting was presided by Carl bildt's deputy Michael
Steiner.
The representatives of the three people in Bosnia-Herzegovina
agreed to release four Serbs who had recently been arrested in
Trnovo near Sarajevo and a Croat police officer from Kresevo,
Franjo Markovic, who had been arrested by the Moslem police on
Sunday.
An exact procedure for arresting persons suspected of war
crimes by the International crimes Tribunal in The Hague was
expected to be established next week, Steiner told Wednesday's news
conference in Sarajevo.
An agreement is also expected to be reached about the
procedure of arresting suspects of other crimes, with special rules
for procedure in cases of possible discrimination on a national
basis.
Commending Wednesday's agreement on the alliance of all
Bosnian refugees' and displaced persons' organizations, Steiner
said that in a time when all sides were using various forms of
pressure to prevent the repatriation of refugees and displaced
persons, it was necessary for them to unite their efforts. Bildt's
Office would fully support the work of the "Coalition for
Repatriation", Steiner added.
