SPLIT, Oct 29 (Hina) - The Duke of Kent arrived at Croatia's port
town of Split on Tuesday after he had toured British troops serving
with the NATO-led international peace force (IFOR) in Bosnia-
Herzegovina.
In the evening the Duke of Kent delivered a high medal to the
British honorary consul Aleksej Metjavic in Split, who was
decorated by Queen Elisabeth.
The ceremony of the medal delivery, held in the Croatian
National Theatre in Split, was attended by the British Ambassador
to Croatia Gavin Hewitt, consular missions' members, local
authorities, and Croatian Navy representatives.
On Wednesday the Duke of Kent will go sightseeing in Split and
visit British troops stationed at the Divulje logistic base outside
the town. He will leave Croatia for England tomorrow afternoon.
