MOSTAR, 25 Oct (Hina) - Special representative of the European Union in Mostar, Martin Garrod, on Friday welcomed the decision of the Forum of the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina, according to which joint police units in the city
would have a rotating superintendent. The decision, according to which joint police forces would have a superintendent of different nationality (Croat or Muslim) every month was a positive step towards the solution of difficulties in the establishment of Mostar police forces, Garrod said.

Union in Mostar, Martin Garrod, on Friday welcomed the decision of
the Forum of the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina, according to
which joint police units in the city would have a rotating
superintendent. The decision, according to which joint police
forces would have a superintendent of different nationality (Croat

difficulties in the establishment of Mostar police forces, Garrod

Garrod described as shameful a recent attack on the vehicle
carrying Dubrovnik Bishop Zelimir Puljic in eastern Mostar.
Persons responsible for the stoning of vehicles travelling
along Mostar's Boulevard road, as well as those who were evicting
people form their flats should be brought to justice, Garrod said.
Garrod also said he expected progress in the establishment of
the joint city administration and welcomed this week's sessions of
the Mostar Municipal Council and Herzegovina Canton Assembly.
