The spread of tuberculosis in Kosovo is said to be caused by
worsening living conditions and exile of Albanian physicians from
health institutions.
According to statistics, other diseases also plague Kosovo,
such as haemorragic fever, which 14 persons died from last year.
Vaccination has decreased since 1990, especially vaccination
of children, and 16 children younger than three years of age got
infected by poliomyelitis in the last several months.
