speech which he delivered at the Royal Institute for International Relations on Wednesday.
BRUSSELS, 16 Oct (Hina) - Croatian Premier Zlatko Matesa on
Wednesday ended his three-day working visit to Belgium. 'Croatia as
a Factor of Stability in the Region of Former Yugoslavia and South-
East Europe' was the title of Matesa's speech which he delivered
at the Royal Institute for International Relations on Wednesday.

The Croatian premier stressed the political and economic
stability of his country, which, he said, was a reliable partner.
Croatia was ready to take over its share of responsibility in
European integration processes and its rapprochement to the
European Union, Matesa said.
The U.N. Transitional Administration in Eastern Slavonia
(UNTAES) was likely to become one of the most successful U.N.
operations, Matesa said, stressing the role of the Belgian UNTAES
battalion.
The two-day international conference on Croatia's economic
situation, opened in Brussels Monday, ended today. The conference
included the presentation of Croatian companies and financial
institutions. Croatian Economy Minister Davor Stern spoke about the
potentials of Croatia's economy.
Similar economic forums are planned to take place next year in
other world centers such as London or New York.
