Americans will gradually withdraw in line with plans.
More intensive withdrawal of U.S. troops can be expected after
Bosnia local elections in the end of November. Additional 5,000
troops will arrive in Sector North before the elections and stay
until March next year. These troops are to be the reinforcement to
Americans during the elections and will also help U.S. troops move
from Bosnia.
Most of U.S. troops will use land roads via the Croatian town
of Slavonski Brod on their return to Hungary.
For Nordic, Polish and Turkish soldiers as part of
multinational IFOR force in northern Bosnia, their governments will
prepare plans for withdrawal, according to the same source.
