I came to talk about the future of the mission, the American
diplomat said adding that he was grateful to Croatia's government
for the financial assistance to UNTAES. However, additional
financial means would be necessary, but some of promised sums had
not been yet remitted, he said.
Kornblum announced his trip to Zagreb where he would ask
Croatia's authorities to remit some money they had promised. He
would also ask Croatia's authorities to cooperate with UNTAES also
at the end of that mission in the Croatian Danubian area.
We wish that life here may continue in peace, confidence and
progress, he added.
