The head of the Croatian government Office for Temporary
Administration, Ivica Vrkic, said the talks were aimed at
establishing what should be done so that deadlines for the
completion of the mandate of the U.N. Transitional Administration
in Eastern Slavonia are observed and elections in the area
organized.
Today's talks are attended by the head of the Croatian
Association of Displaced Persons, Mato Simic and the Croatian
President's Deputy Chief-Of-Staff, Vesna Skare-Ozbolt.
The talks, which are held behind closed doors, will also be
joined by Vice Premier Ivica Kostovic, Interior Minister Ivan
Jarnjak, Administration Minister Davorin Mlakar and Social Welfare
Minister, Joso Skara.
The results of the talks will be presented at a press
conference later this afternoon.
