ZAGREB, Sept 17 (Hina) - An earthquake measuring 5.5 on the
Richter scale struck 370 km southeast of Zagreb 15.46 hours on
Tuesday, the Seismological Institute said.
The epicentre was in the Ston area, which had already been
devasted by several earthquakes since September 5.
The earthquake, which caused fresh damage to residential
buildings in the Ston area, was felt on the nearby islands of
Korcula and Mljet, as far to the north as Rijeka and in
neighbouring Italy.
The Dubrovnik County information centre said there had been
no reports of casualties. All roads in the Dubrovnik area are
passable after minor landslides have been cleared.
