truck with humanitarian help from Zagreb to the residents of Ston
which was hit by an earthquake on Thursday evening.
The International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent
has also become involved in providing assistance, a statement from
the Croatian Red Cross said. #L#
The 7.3 ton delivery consists of family packets with food,
fresh water containers, plastic foils, candles and transistor
radios. It is expected to arrive in Ston in the evening.
The Split Red Cross Association had sent two trucks with food
and hygienic provisions to the residents of Ston, the statement
said.
