ZAGREB, Aug 30 (Hina) - Croatian vice-premier Ivica Kostovic on
Friday visited displaced persons settled in Blace in the Vukovar
County, eastern Croatia, while in Vinkovci he talked with county
associations of Homeland War victims, Croatian Radio and TV said.
Speaking on the tracing of missing and imprisoned persons,
Kostovic said that since 1992, Croatia traced 6,700 persons, while
2,605, mainly from the Vukovar area, were still being looked for.
Members of the associations of war victims expressed
dissatisfaction at what had been achieved so far, because they
believed Belgrade would fulfill its promises.
Yugoslavia's official stance was that there were no Croatian
prisoners on its territory, Kostovic said, adding that Croatia
would continue to look for the truth regarding every missing person
and would request the help of U.N. Transitional Administrator
General Jacques Klein.
The displaced persons settled in Blace expressed full support
to the process of peaceful reintegration of the Croatian Danubian
area.
