MOSTAR, Aug 15 (Hina) - The most important task at the moment was
to improve the living conditions of all citizens of Mostar, the
newly-elected mayor of Mostar Ivan Prskalo told HINA on Thursday.
"If we achieve this goal as soon as possible, it will be much
easier to resolve any disagreements between Croats and Moslems in
Mostar," he said.
"Even so, it won't be so simple," he said.
"Still, I am optimistic because I was supported not only by
the Croatian people but also by Moslems, which is a pleasant
surprise," he said.
Prskalo is a construction engineer by profession, manager of
the public company "Parkovi" which cares for the town's parks. He
is a member of the HDZ (Croatian Democratic Union) since the
foundation of that party in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Prskalo said he expected to have a good working relationship
with the EU envoy, Martin Garrod.
