OSIJEK, 13 August (Hina) - The administrative board of the
Association of Displaced Persons of the Osijek County decided at
its session held yesterday that the final decision on the return of
displaced persons to the village of Bilje would be reached after
talks have been held with the Temporary Administrator of U.N.
Transitional Administration in eastern Slavonia, Baranja and
western Srijem, Jacques Klein and Croatian Premier Zlatko Matesa.
The Association made this decision after yesterday's
discussion on an open letter they received from the head of the
Government Office for Temporary Administration, Ivica Vrkic and
Osijek County Prefect Branimir Glavas regarding the return to the
village of Bilje.
In a statement issued today, the Association of Displaced
Persons said that the administrative boards of Osijek and Vukovar
Counties would hold a meeting on 20 August with the Temporary
Administrator Klein and 'thoroughly discuss the question of the
return of displaced persons and ask to meet with the Premier'.
After the meetings were held, the Association would reach the
final decision on the commencement of the return to Bilje, the
statement said.
