KNIN, June 15 (Hina) - A delegation of the Organization for
Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), led by the head of the
OSCE mission in Croatia, Albertus Nooij, visited Knin on Saturday
where they met Croatian government commissioner Anto Maricic for
talks on opening an OSCE regional office in the town.
Nooij announced that OSCE and the Croatian government
would soon sign a memorandum of understanding for establishing
the OSCE mission in Croatia. He added that its main office would
be in Zagreb while regional offices would be set up in Knin and
Vukovar.
Maricic informed the OSCE delegation about the current
situation in Knin, stressing that relations between Croats and
Serbs in Knin were good.
The meeting was also attended by Croatian Foreign
Ministry adviser Drzislav Skeljo and the government commissioner
for the municipalities of Ervenik, Civljane, Orlic and Kistanje,
Petar Pasic.
