LJUBLJANA, June 11 (Hina) - Delegations of the Agricultural
Committee of the Croatian parliament's House of Representatives and
the Slovenian parliament's Agricultural Committee on Tuesday held
talks in the Slovenian capital of Ljubljana which were part of an
intense inter-parliamentary cooperation. The main topic was the
exchange of experience in international trade and the renewal of
once exceptionally rich bilateral connections in the agricultural
and food processing industry.
The delegations talked about the results Croatia and Slovenia
had so far achieved in transforming the agricultural sector on a
legal level and experiences relating to denationalization in the
field.
Members of the Slovenian Committee for Agriculture and
Forestry said that Slovenia was interested in renewing agricultural
cooperation with Croatia and also pointed out that it was necessary
to establish a free trade zone between the two countries as soon as
possible.
