DJAKOVO, 4 June (Hina) - An explosive device that was thrown into
the staff-room of the Djakovo comprehensive school Tuesday injured
eight people. The police in that eastern Croatian town believes the
perpetrator, whose identity is still not known to the police, used
a hand grenade.
The explosion occurred during the mid-day break when almost
the entire staff of the Djakovo comprehensive school was at the
staff room. According to Pero Jelas, commander of the local police
station, the explosion lightly injured six persons and another two
were admitted to the Osijek hospital for fear of serious injuries.
All of the injured are in stable condition. The case is being
investigated.
