C $ OURT ZAGREB, 20 May (Hina) - Croatia's President Franjo Tudjman on Monday received the President of the Austrian Constitutional Court, Ludwig Adamovich, a statement from the President's Office said. #L# President Tudjman presented Mr Adamovich with an 'Order of Prince Trpimir' medal. 'It is a privilege for me to be able to present you with this medal with which I have decorated you for your contribution in the development of relations between the Constitutional Courts of Croatia and Austria and your special contribution in the intensification of relations between our two states', President Tudjman said. Expressing the support of the Austrian government for Croatia, Mr Adamovich said he has always been proud of his Croatian descent. 'Now that the largest part of Croatia is liberated and the peaceful reintegration of the Croatian Danubian area is under way, Croatia needs friends such as Austria, because it understands that Croatia belongs to central Europe', President Tudjman said in a short conversation with Mr Adamovich. Despite the Serbian aggression and the liberation war, Croatia had built its constitution and laws at the highest European levels. Their implementation had not been always easy due to the occupation of a part of Croatia's territory, President Tudjman said. Mr Adamovich expressed satisfaction with the work of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia, which showed that it is equal to other European constitutional courts. Austria would always be Croatia's friend, Adamovich added. Present at the meeting at President Tudjman's side were also his Chief-Of-Staff, Ivo Sanader, advisor on foreign affairs Zeljko Matic, advisor on internal affairs, Ivic Pasalic, Croatian Ambassador to Vienna, Milan Ramljak, the head of the President's Cabinet, Gordan Radin, President's aide-de-camp, Major General Kresimir Kaspar and the head of the Department for Decorations and Awards, Stjepan Adamic. Mr Adamovich was accompanied by the President of the Croatian Constitutional Court, Jadranko Crnic, Austrian Ambassador to Croatia, Andreas Berlakovich, the Vice President of the Austrian Constitutional Court, Karl Pisk, and vice presidents of the Croatian Constitutional Court, Velimir Belajec and Zdravko Bartovcak, the statement said.
