BUDAPEST, 12 May (Hina) - A two-day opera performance entitled
'Blue Danube Opera-Gala' was held on Saturday and Sunday under the
auspices of the Hungarian President Arpad Goencz in Budapest. The
program included performances by famous opera singers from some 20
counties, including the United States, France and other countries.
Croatian representatives at the festival were Ivanka Boljkovac
and Inge Heinl-Stancic who performed several arias from Verdi's and
Saint-Saens's operas.
The manifestation was attended by numerous Hungarian state
officials and ambassadors of almost all countries which took part
in the program. Croatian Ambassador to Hungary Zdenko Skrabalo and
his associates were also present.
