DUBROVNIK, May 3 (Hina) - A group of French experts for
restoration and protection of cultural heritage arrived in the
southern Croatian coastal town of Dubrovnik on Friday.
The group was led by French ambassador to Croatia Jean
Jacques Gaillarde, cultural attache Jean Pierre Bouzique and the
head of the French directorate for cultural heritage protection,
Maryvonne de Saint-Pulgent.
The French delegation met for talks with representatives of
Dubrovnik's institutions for protection of cultural monuments and
environment.
They also held talks with the chairman of the Croatian
Parliament's committee for reconstruction of Dubrovnik, Zarko
Domljan, the head of the Directorate for Protection of Cultural
and Natural Heritage, Ferdinand Meder, and Dubrovnik mayor Nikola
Obuljen.
The guests visited Restic Palace which was about to be
reconstructed. The palace would house a restoration school which
would be financed by the French government.
