SARAJEVO, May 3 (Hina) - US ambassador to Bosnia-Herzegovina John
Menzies and Bosnian prime minister Hasan Muratovic signed an
agreement in Sarajevo on Friday stipulating the mode of use of USD
282 million the US government had donated for reconstruction of the
war-ravaged country.
The agreement provided that a special team of experts would be
established at the US Embassy in Sarajevo to assist in the
reconstruction of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The reconstruction of residential buildings in the northern
city of Tuzla would start on Saturday and the project was worth USD
25 million.
Menzies said that next week the US would start granting loans
to private entrepreneurs to revive small and medium-size companies
which were expected to employ several thousand workers.
Bosnian Federation president Kresimir Zubak and his deputy
Ejup Ganic signed a special letter on the acceptance of the aid
stipulated by the agreement.
