LONDON, April 23 (Hina) - Croatia's ambassdor to Great Britain,
Ante Cicin-Sain, visited the headquarters of the ruling
Conservative party in London on Monday and delivered a lecture on
bilateral political and economic relations between Croatia and the
United Kingdom.
Cicin-Sain had been invited by the party's Council for Foreign
Relations and Commonwealth.
Croatian-British relations improved in late 1993, which
resulted in a marked increase in the volume of trade between the
two countries, he said.
But he added that there was a trade imbalance because of the
insufficient export of Croatian products to Britain.
Cicin-Sain said that direct British investment and the revival
of the tourist industry in Croatia could have a positive influence
on achieving a balance in overall Croatian-British economic
relations.
