ZAGREB, April 17 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic
received Malaysian Foreign Ministry Secretary General Kamil
Jaafar in Zagreb on Wednesday.
Jaafar informed Granic about preparations for a visit to
Croatia of senior Malaysian officials led by Prime Minister
Mohamad Mathir, a Croatian Foreign Ministry statement said.
During that visit an agreement on cancelling visa
requirements and letters of intent on economic cooperation were
expected to be signed and a "Malaysian Week" would be opened at
the Zagreb Trade Fair.
Granic informed the guest about developments in the region
and the latest diplomatic activities of Croatia.
The talks also focused on the situation in Bosnia-
Herzegovina, the implementation of the Dayton peace accords and
efforts aimed at setting up the Bosnian Federation.
Both officials emphasized an interest in cooperation
between Croatia and the Bosnian Federation and prospects for
cooperation between Croatia and Malaysia through joint economic
projects in the Bosnian Federation, the statement concluded.
