ZAGREB, 3 April (Hina) - Dutch and Croatian economic delegations on
Wednesday met in the 'Intercontinental' Hotel in Zagreb to discuss
improvement of agricultural cooperation between the two countries.
Speaking about the agricultural cooperation between Croatia
and the Netherlands, Croatian Deputy Minister of Agriculture and
Forestry, Anton Seda said that in the last year Croatia had
imported from the Netherlands some 40,000 tons of seed, fruits and
vegetables, while a very small amount of Croatian products had been
exported to the Netherlands. He added that with the help from the
Netherlands Croatia could export its agricultural products to other
countries.
Croatia was interested in joint investments in certain areas
of production, especially in potato production.
The head of the Dutch delegation, Fred W. Muller, said that 22
Dutch representatives had arrived in Croatia, which was a sign of
the respect Croatia enjoyed in the Netherlands.
'The Netherlands, as the third biggest exporter of
agricultural products, is interested in cooperation with Croatia',
Muller said.
