WASHINGTON, April 11 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Zlatko Matesa
said in Washington on Thursday that Croatia believed that all
foreign troops should leave the territory of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
"Our policy is very clear. We're sure that they (foreign
troops) should leave Bosnia," Matesa told a press conference at the
National Press Club.
Matesa said that the future of Bosnia-Herzegovina was not in
relations with fundamentalism. "We don't believe that the future of
Bosnia-Herzegovina should be in any close relations with
fundamentalist countries such as Iran," he said.
Matesa stressed that the United States should play a key role
in the program of training and equipping the armed forces of the
Bosnian Moslem-Croat Federation.
Matesa confirmed Croatia's willingness to cooperate with the
International War Crimes Tribunal in The Hague.
He said that he believed that the task of the NATO-led peace
Implementation Force (IFOR) was not arresting war crimes suspects.
"It's something that has to be done by ourselves," he added.
Commenting on the reintegration of the still occupied area of
eastern Croatia, Matesa said that he was much more optimistic now
than at the beginning of the reintegration process.
