DUBROVNIK, April 6 (Hina) - Economic relations between the United
States and Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina will not be affected by
the deaths of US Commerce Secretary and his delegation in a plane
crash near Dubrovnik, the US president's special envoy Lauri Fitz
Pegado said on Saturday.
I believe President Clinton and Secretary Brown, and
everyone else, want us to continue our job in full force, Pegado
told reporters at Dubrovnik airport before the the remains of
victims were to be flown to the US.
Our goals in this region - the reconstruction of Croatia and
Bosnia-Herzegovina, peace and commercial diplomacy - will not be
lost but strengthened by this tragedy, she said.
We will carry on this job and open an office in Sarajevo
which will serve the region. We will continue to promote what is
important for stability, peace and development, Pegado said.
