ZAGREB, March 30 (Hina) - The United States Secretary of Defence,
William Perry, arrived in Zagreb on Saturday. He was accompanied
by his Croatian counterpart, Gojko Susak, who had recently
undergone a medical operation in Washington.
The two ministers were welcomed at Zagreb airport by a
Croatian Army guard of honour, the keeper of the state seal Ivan
Milas, Croatian Army Chief of Staff Gen. Zvonimir Cervenko, the
head of the Croatian President's Military Cabinet Lt. Gen.
Miljenko Crnjac, Croatian Ambassador to the US Miomir Zuzul, US
Ambassador to Croatia Peter Galbraith, and senior Croatian Army
officers and Defence Ministry officials.
Perry and Susak would hold official talks in the Defence
Ministry building in the afternoon, and Pery would meet Croatian
President Franjo Tudjman in the evening.
On Sunday, Perry would visit US troops in the northeastern
Bosnian town of Tuzla where he would meet for talks with acting
Bosnian President Ejup Ganic.
