ZAGREB, April 3 (Hina) - A Croatian search and rescue mission
found a tail part of the US commerce secretary's plane which
crashed in southern Croatia on Wednesday afternoon.
The part was found at 19.30 hours near the village of Velji
Do just northeast of the coastal town of Cavtat, about 40 km
southeast of Dubrovnik, the Croatian Ministry of Maritime
Affairs, Transport and Communications said in a statement.
Flight control at Dubrovnik's Cilipi Airport said that at
14.52 hours it lost radio contact with a Boeing 737 aircraft,
registration number N31149, flying from the northeastern Bosnian
town of Tuzla to Dubrovnik with US Secretary of Commerce Ronald
Brown aboard.
Fifteen minutes after the expected time of arrival, the
flight control administration launched a search and rescue
mission.
The statement said that the Ministry had formed a commission
to investigate the accident.
