OSIJEK, 26 March (Hina) - Under the sponsorship of the Government
Office for Temporary Administration for the Re-establishment of the
Croatian Government in the areas of E. Slavonia, Baranja and W.
Srijem, representatives of local Red Cross Organizations from
Osijek, Valpovo and Vinkovci met representatives of the Red Cross
from the occupied towns of Beli Manastir, Mirkovci and Vukovar in
Osijek today. Discussed were "issues of common interest," such as
family reunions and operations of the International Committee of
the Red Cross and the International Federation of the Red Cros and
the Red Crescent. According to a joint statement, so far more than
1,300 persons have taken part in family reunions that have been
taking place at the Nemetin-Sarvas check-point. Next meeting of the
Red Cross organizations from free Croatia and the occupied areas
will be held in Vukovar.
