MOSTAR, March 19 (Hina) - The Croat and Moslem mayors of Mostar,
Mijo Brajkovic and Safet Orucevic, on Tuesday met the European
Union administrator of Mostar, Hans Koschnik, for talks on the
city's central zone and the joint police force.
The talks also focused on incidents that took place last
weekend, when two Croats from west Mostar were kidnapped and three
Moslems were arrested.
Brajkovic told reporters after the meeting that the Croat side
demanded that the Western European Police take a stand on the
incidents.
Moslems kidnapped the two Croat civilians in revenge for the
arrest by Croat police of three armed Moslems from east Mostar
during a curfew, Brajkovic said. The three men were released on
Monday.
