MOSTAR, Feb 20 (Hina) - The introduction of joint Croatian and
Bosnian police patrols in the southern Bosnian city of Mostar has
been postponed until further notice, a Western European Union
spokesman in Mostar said on Tuesday.
WEU spokesman Howard Foks told reporters in Mostar that more
would be said about the matter at a press conference by the city's
EU administrator, Hans Koschnik, scheduled for 15.00 hours.
Joint police forces should have begun patrolling the city as
of noon on Monday in line with an agreement reached at a two-day
peace summit in Rome.
The interior ministers of Croatia and the Bosnian Moslem-Croat
Federation, Ivan Jarnjak and Avdo Hebib, were discussing the matter
at Mostar's Ero Hotel and were expected to make statements to the
press after the talks.
