ZAGREB, March 15 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister, Zlatko Matesa,
on Friday forwarded a letter to the directors of the news agency
Hina, Croatian Radio Television, and newsparers Vjesnik, Vecernji
List and Glas Slavonije. In the letter, Matesa stressed the
necessity of signing collective agreements.
"It is not advisable to offer individual work contracts to
employees before collective agreements are signed," Matesa warned,
adding that "the situation in the media is one of the scales for
gauging the degree of democracy in the country. We cannot have a
high degree of democracy without collective agreements," Matesa
said in the letter.
