MOSTAR, March 6 (Hina) - Bosnian Federation Deputy Interior
Minister Jozo Leutar said on Wednesday that the Bosnian Croat
police in Kiseljak, west of Sarajevo, had dispatched a group of
police officers, members of the federal police force, to Hadzici
in order to take control of a section of this Sarajevo suburb.
He said that instead of Croat police from Kiseljak, Sarajevo
police officers had been deployed in Hadzici with the aid of the
NATO-led Implementation Force.
Leutar said that the Moslems, as a federal partner, broke
the law because they had not informed him about the composition
of the Hadzici police force.
Leutar recalled that under the Internal Affairs Act that
took effect on 1 February, the interior ministries of Bosnia-
Herzegovina and Herzeg-Bosnia ceased to exist and were to be
transformed into the federal and cantonal interior ministries.
The Federation Interior Ministry was currently comprised
only of minister and his deputy, he said.
Leutar warned that Moslem authorities behaved as if only the
Herzeg-Bosnian interior ministry had been dissolved and that only
they had the exclusive right to represent the Bosnian Federation
Interior Ministry. This showed the way in which civilian
authority was being transferred in Sarajevo suburbs, he added.
