OSIJEK, March 6 (Hina) - A meeting of families separated by war was
held at the UN Nemetin-Sarvas checkpoint in eastern Croatia on
Wednesday.
Sixty-two people came from the occupied area and 68 from
elsewhere in Croatia. This was the eighth such meeting and the
first one covered by several television crews, the head of the
government office for restoration of Croatian authority in the
occupied Danubian area, Mirko Tankosic, told reporters.
Tankosic said that the Croatian government would like such
meetings to be held twice a week.
