SARAJEVO, Feb 12 (Hina) - The Parliament of the Republic of Bosnia-
Herzegovina today enacted an Amnesty Act which abolishes legal
proceedings against all those who have avoided service in the
Bosnian army or served in Bosnian Serb units.
The Act specifies that all those who have already been
sentenced on the above-mentioned grounds will be set free. Legal
proceedings which have already begun will be suspended and no new
legal proceedings will be instituted.
The Act takes effect on the day of its publication in the
Official Gazette. The state attorney is bound to issue writs of
pardon within three days after the Act takes effect.
