OSIJEK, Feb 9 (Hina) - A delegation of Hungarian Baranja county on
Friday visited the adjacent Croatian Osijek-Baranja county.
The delegation, headed by President of the County Assembly
Sandor Toth, met with Osijek county prefect Branimir Glavas. Also
attended Croatia's consul in Pecs Miroslav Skoro.
"I believe this will be a year of integration and new
beginning for the economic and other reconstruction," Glavas said,
expressing gratitude for all the Hungarian people has done for
thousands of the refugees, particularly from the Osijek county, who
had found shelter in Hungary.
Toth replied he also believed the war was over and that a
successful business, cultural and other cooperation between the two
regions was about to begin.
Officials of the two counties discussed an agreement on
cooperation which would soon be signed.
