ZAGREB, Feb 2 (Hina) - Hungarian-Croatian relations are best
described as exemplary, Croatian Prime Minister Zlatko Matesa said
following a meeting with his Hungarian counterpart Gyula Horn on
Friday evening. Premier Horn is on a two-day working visit to
Croatia.
"The goal of my visit is to attend the official takeover of
the Hungarian IFOR contingent," Prime Minster Horn said.
"The talks I have had with the Croatian Premier have been very
useful - I hope tomorrow's talks with President Tudjman will be
equally useful," Horn said.
According to Horn, Hungary was very interested in Croatia's
reconstruction projects. It was agreed that a Croatian delegation
visit Hungary next month to discuss reconstruction issues.
"I want to express the satisfaction of the Croatian Government
and my personal satisfaction with the cooperation between Croatia
and Hungary, and the support this neighbouring and friendly country
has given Croatia in the most difficult moments of its history,"
Matesa said.
The Croatian Prime Minister has accepted the invitation of his
Hungarian counterpart to visit Croatia.
