committed offenses at Croatian areas liberated last summer, and about the situation in the Kupljensko makeshift refugee camp for refugees from western Bosnia.
ZAGREB, Feb 6 (Hina) - Croatian Interior Minister Ivan Jarnjak and
OSCE high commissioner for national minorities, Max van der Stoel,
Tuesday talked about issues of the Croatian citizenship, the
investigation against persons who have committed offenses at
Croatian areas liberated last summer, and about the situation in
the Kupljensko makeshift refugee camp for refugees from western
Bosnia. #L#
The Croatian Interior Minister said he and the OSCE
(Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe) official had
discussed the return of refugees in eastern Slavonia and how to
solve the problem of the citizenship in the area concerned.
Minister Jarnjak explained to van der Stoel the law on the
receiving the Croatian citizenship.
"In respect of the Kupljensko camp, I explained that around
17,000 refugees had returned voluntarily to Velika Kladusa, Bosnia-
Herzegovina, and 46 persons had been repatriated to Bosnia-
Herzegovina as they had committed offenses in the Republic of
Croatia," Jarnjak said adding that those 46 persons had been handed
over to the joint police force of Croatia, Turkey and the
Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
