ZAGREB, Jan 12 (Hina) - Croatian presidential chief of staff Ivo
Sanader on Friday received the UN special envoy to former
Yugoslavia, Kofi Annan, the Presidential Office said in a
statement.
Annan was interested in the progress of normalization of
relations between Croatia and Yugoslavia and the process of
establishing the Bosnian Federation.
Sanader informed his guest about the progress of
establishing the Federation's authorities, reaffirming Croatia's
full support to efforts aimed at defusing tensions and injecting
life into the Federation.
The talks also focused on a draft resolution on the
reintegration of the Croatian Danubian region, which is soon to
be passed by the UN, and the composition of international forces
which would implement this resolution.
Also attending were Annan's political adviser, Jack
Greenberg, the Croatian presidential adviser on foreign affairs,
Zeljko Matic, and Sanader's deputy, Vesna Skare-Ozbolt.
