ZAGREB, Jan 11 (Hina) - NATO Secretary General Javier Solana and
Alliance Commander in Chief Gen. George Joulwan arrived in Zagreb
on Thursday afternoon at the beginning of a tour which would also
include visits to Sarajevo and Belgrade.
They began talks at UN headquarters with the deputy of the
UN special envoy to the former Yugoslavia, Behrooz Sadri, and
the deputy commander of the NATO-led Implementation Force (IFOR)
for Bosnia-Herzegovina, Gen. Bernard Janvier.
Solana and Joulwan were scheduled to meet UN special envoy
Kofi Annan but the meeting was cancelled as Annan failed to
return from his visit to Macedonia because of bad weather.
The two NATO officials were due to meet Croatian President
Franjo Tudjman later in the evening.
