BUSINESS FORUM BEGINS IN VUKOVAR

( Editorial: --> 7011 ) VUKOVAR, Dec 9 (Hina) - A two-day business forum Vukovar '97 was opened in the city on Tuesday. It gathers 23 exhibitors from Croatia, Hungary, Slovakia and Ukraine, who are to present their possibilities of direct cooperation with the Croatian Danube river region. The forum is being held under the auspices of the Croatian National Trust Establishment Committee. A Committee member, Mirko Tankosic, said that the business forum was especially important for creating mutual trust in the region. "We want to contribute to the creation of an atmosphere of a better life in the Danubian area," Tankosic said. He stressed that business losses in the Danube river region amounted to 207 million kuna, but, he added, improvements were noticeable, especially in small business.
