ZAGREB, 8 Dec (Hina) - The president of the Croatian Party of Rights
1861 (HSP 1861), Dobroslav Paraga, confirmed in a statement given
to Hina on Monday that he had been arrested on the Austrian-Slovene
border on Thursday night.
Following the arrest, Paraga was detained for 14 hours.
The news on Paraga's detention was published by the Vienna-based
daily 'Der Standard' on Sunday.
Paraga said the police officers who arrested him told him there had
been a big mistake.
Paraga said he was to meet representatives of the International
Criminal Tribunal for Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) on Friday in Zagreb,
but the meeting did not take place due to his arrest.
