80 ALBANIAN POLITICAL PRISONERS DETAINED IN SERBIAN PRISONS

( Editorial: --> 6152 ) PRISTINA, Dec 5 (Hina) - The Kosovo association gathering former political prisoners who are ethnic Albanians, said on Friday that 80 Albanians, political prisoners, are being detained now in Serbian prisons. One of those imprisoned is the president of the Party for the National Unity of Kosovo, a university professor, Ukshin Hoti. He is at Nis prison. The association stressed that yet another fixed political process was soon to be finished. In this process, the Serbian authorities accused 12 Kosovo Albanians of terrorism. According to the Kosovo committee fot the protection of human rights and freedoms, more than 3,000 Albanians have been sentenced to prison during political trials since the abolishment of the autonomy of the province of Kosovo in 1989.
